About Us
G-Street Films started out as a small promotions company called “G-Street Unltd. which primarily focused on street team promotions for record labels back in 2002. The owner, Aaron “Focus” Switzer, always had a passion for music and was able to turn that passion into a full time business . after several years of making great connections with leading musicians and working hand in hand with most major record labels, unfortunately the industry started to phase out street team style promotions in favor of more of an online presence. so Aaron had to evolve with the times so he went back to school and focused on arts. in doing so he was able to convert his company into a multimedia production company and he began doing graphic design, photography and video production. He soon found himself in a work study program at his college that had him working at a public access television station in Longview Washington. Still sticking to his passion for music Aaron decided to write, direct, shoot, edit and even do the voice over for a documentary he did for his video production classes final project. it showcased the behind the scenes life of street team promotions and when he saw it get aired on TV, it sparked his next passion. a passion for story telling through video production. That passion caused his company to evolve yet again as he started shooting and editing music videos. that would last for several more years while he honed his skills to get ready for the final transition that Aaron would see his company embark on. in 2017 Aaron officially changed the name of his company from G-Street Unltd. to G-Street Films as he began writing, direction, shooting and editing his own short films. Aaron also does plenty of music videos still, as well as commercial projects but his passion is definitely solidly planted in filmmaking now.
In 2018 Aaron joined forces with two other filmmakers, Michael Brumfield (of Erco Films Co.) and Sheldon Black (of ShokkVision) and together they formed an umbrella company that they refer to as “The Chimera Collective” when they team up on the bigger projects. they all come together to write, then Aaron handles the directing, Michael is the DP (director of photography) and Sheldon handles lighting. In 2019 they have successfully written, shot and edited 6 short films that will be released in the beginning of 2020 as they begin pre production on several feature films as of January. When these artists put their heads together, literally nothing is impossible. Stay tuned, there’s some great films coming up real soon.
